Robb Cemetery and Wilmina Robb MemorialSituated on a hill overlooking the Platte Valley in Northeast Gosper County, Robb Cemetery is a peaceful place where you can hear the birds sing and the wind in the trees. Across the road sits a small chapel, a memorial to Wilmina Robb by her father, William Robb. One of the most peaceful spots in our area, Robb Cemetery and the Wilmina Robb Memorial have a rich history that will continue to be passed down for generations.
Now called Robb Cemetery, the burial grounds were originally called Pleasant Hill Cemetery in the late 1800s. While Robb is a neighborhood cemetery, anyone can be buried there. The Wilmina Robb Memorial chapel was built in 1919 and held its last funeral service in 1928. For 20 years the chapel was a target of vandalism and decay until it was sealed shut in 1948. However, this project of love from a father to his daughter was endured, as the chapel is being repaired |
